Drake Calls Kia Shine A Liar
There have been questions posed to me the last few days about the writing of Best I Ever Had and I figured I’d take the time to clear the air directly.
I have never met Kia Shine or worked with him. I wrote the entire composition in Toronto and I borrowed one line from a Lil Wayne song that he produced the BEAT for. The claims of 25% ownership are false and for a artist to brag about splits on a song is distasteful to begin with.

Funny, Kia Shine actually picked up 3 Billboard awards for this song…So Who the fuck do you think is lying???
Also Kia explained that he DIDN’T ghostwrite it, he said Drake sampled the beat, cadence, and a line or 2 (which imo is corny because it just shows his lack of creative ability but thats another thread…Who samples an up and coming producers beat CD/demo??? I guess the same guy who uses the exact same drum pattern on every song too…The same guy who paid his way into the music biz…the same guy whos whole persona is 100% fictional…) My question is why would Drake be so defensive if its just a sample? As an artist I personally find it distasteful that he would try to discredit someone else’s hard work especially when dude had paperwork to prove it. And for the record its not bragging about splits if you had a hand in writing it. How can telling the truth about something be distasteful? Its way more distasteful to try and convince people that you are 100% responsible for the creation of something. Drake is just mad that the curtain got pulled up on his little charade. 1st time i heard the song I could hear the samples I just didnt recognize em…cuz they were from a demo!!! lol CORNY
These artists are all the same though. They love to try and take all the credit for shit. I produced 40 MC’s feat. Q-tip for Amanda Diva and after a little falling out she tried to act like the beat came out of the sky… Actually It was an old throwaway track and it was also MY Idea to get Q-tip on the hook; she just happened to be cool with him. No Credits No Shout Outs No Nothing. Did her best to try and blackball me (unsuccessfully) Any linkage of the song to me has been restored by myself and my management. Not lookin for sympathy or anything JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT…These industry clowns do nothing but lie most of the time, Including your precious DRAKE.
