For real though, black people, we need to hold ourselves accountable. Because that “crab in the barrel” mentality is so us. We never could blame ourselves alone for not elevating ourselves. Lionel Richie, same thing, could have stayed with the COmmodores, but elevated himself to where the major stars needed HIM and he’s laughing at bank. But sadly, we called him a sellout.
