Method Man may have been a victim of a bottle attack while performing with Insane Clown Posse, but Posse member Violent J states that Mef provoked the attack.

In an interview with TMZ, Violent J states that Method Man didn’t know the significance of telling the Juggalos crowd, “F**k family. It’s all about hip-hop”, at that point is when Violent J states that the enthusiastic crowd turned violent.

In regards to the lawsuit and taking the blame, Violent J states that he doesn’t feel that the Insane Clown Posse should be held responsible at all.

“I don’t feel responsible at all,” Violent J said in the interview. “[That lawsuit] is straight b*tch sh*t.”

Despite the pending bad blood, Violent J states that although he doesn’t feel reposible, he wished the incident didn’t happen.

“We don’t think it should have happened,” Violent J continued. “We respect Meth and Red to the fullest.”

As previously reported, Method Man is planning to take legal action over the bloody head wound he received after being hit with a UFO while performing at The Gathering of Juggalos festival this past weekend.
