Teen Mother Bites 1-Month Old Baby Because He Wouldn’t Be Quiet

DALLAS – A 19-year-old Dallas mother bit her baby all over his body in order to keep him quite, police said.

The wounds on the 1-month-old were discovered on Aug. 17 after Daniel Lewis allegedly abandoned the infant at Children’s Medical Center.

Doctors there reported that Tajon Lewis had suffered human bite marks on his arms, shoulders, legs, and buttocks.

Dallas police arrested the young mother the following day on charges of injury to a child.

Investigators said Daniel Lewis admitted to biting the child to try and quiet him.

She remained in jail on Wednesday on a $15,000 bond.
