Jamaican Woman Throws Newborn Baby Out The Window

The Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica was the scene of a tragedy this morning, after a woman threw a new-born from a window of the multi-storey institution.
The baby’s tragic end came before dawn broke.
The tragedy was made even more gruesome when the baby was discovered with its tiny limbs eaten away by stray dogs.
The Constabulary Communication Network has reported that the baby was only three days old.
The body was found near a police changing facility at the Victoria Jubilee.
The police also confirmed that both hands of the infant were missing and the face gnarled.
Details of the baby’s mother could not be ascertained.
The Gleaner/Power 106 News was told that the alleged offender fled before staff members realised what had happened.
When The Gleaner arrived at the facility, workers form Madden’s Funeral Home were removing the tiny body, metres away from one of the main entrances to the hospital.
Women, mostly mothers carrying out early morning chores, were clearly shaken by tragic event which had unfolded.
A female working frantically with a mop as she cleaned the floor to the entrance of the labour ward, wondered aloud how another woman could commit such an offence.
One patient questioned what could have driven the woman to such a deed.
Today’s tragedy at the Victoria Jubilee has brought renewed focus the need for improved security at the facility.
It’s an issue that the health authority has failed to properly address after years of tragedies at the nearby Kingston Public Hospital, KPH.
At least five persons have attempted to jump from the KPH over the past three years.
Attempts all day to contact Health Minister Ruddy Spencer and Tanny Shirley, the head of the South East Regional Health Authority failed.
However, we were told that they could not provide a comment as they were investigating whether the woman was a patient at the Victoria Jubilee.
