Rapper NewMoney Proves Why He’s Worth His Weight in Gold. Christopher Newman, professionally Known as Newmoney, is a 26 year old New Jersey based emcee who is making an impact on the underground and beyond. This passionate rapper’s music has been featured in XXL Magazine, on The Source.com , All Hip Hop.com, Hip Hop Game.com and Talent Scout Connect. He’s been profiled in Foundation Magazine and Yo Raps’ Next2Blow section. Moreover NewMoney has opened for such rap stars as Jadakiss, Red Cafe, Keith Murray and Shahiem.

His latest release is an emotionally-charged mixtape entitled “No Holding Back” hosted by Blackwood, NJ native LA Prophecy. “No Holding Back’ is Newmoney’s third solo effort and it’s a great testament of his artistry and his ability to tap into his target market. “Everything I’ve seen, done, felt, heard, been through, witnessed, and know goes into my music. All the pain… all the joy,” says Newmoney. The Rapper’s unique selling proposition is that he stays to true to his essence. “I write about my reality, where as some others rap about cars and jewelry. And the truth is that many rappers don’t even possess half the things they rap about,” proclaims the emcee.

Newmoney, who grew up idolizing emcees like Jay-Z, Biggie, Big L, AZ, Redman, and DMX, is a true product of his environment. From the breakup of his family to multiple evictions and the traumatic death of his mother from cancer on Christmas morning, his life experiences have shaped the person and recording artist he is today. Understandably, some scars run deep. “My philosophy is ‘Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.’ You might have a plan and you hope that it pans out. But sometimes sh*t happens and when it does you have to be ready for it,” he explains.

Equally important, Newmoney has appeared on several mixtapes, including Coast2Coast, Piff on Wax, and solo projects, “There is No Tomorrow” hosted by DJ On Point and “The Exhibition” also hosted by LA Prophecy. He is currently in the lab working on his LP entitled “Blood Sweat And Tears,” which is due out in the Summer of 2011. “My LP is going to be introspective, retrospective, auto biographical, lyrical, personal, passionate, and classic. My goal is to inspire and entertain,” raves NewMoney.
