New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs Says Gisele Bundchen Needs To Shut Up And Stay Cute
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs did what no New England Patriots player has done so far: blast Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady’s wife, for her comments about the Patriots’ receivers.
“She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up,” Jacobs told reporters at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday.
Patriots receivers Wes Welker and Deion Branch, as well as tight end Aaron Hernandez, all dropped or had passes hit off their hands during the Pats’ final drive in their Super Bowl XLVI loss to the Giants.
“My husband cannot f—– throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times,” Bundchen said in a video captured by theinsider.com.
Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora thought that Bundchen should be able to say whatever she wanted to about the game.
“I mean, that is her husband,” Umenyiora said. “She is supposed to stay out of things like that, but at the end of the day that is their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.”
Brady has not commented on what his wife said.
After the game, Brady said he has plenty of confidence in Welker, who failed to pull in a pass that Welker said he catches “1,000 times.”
“Wes is a phenomenal player and a teammate,” Brady said. “I love that guy.”
