Lil Wayne’s “Carter IV” once again leads the hip hop / rap category this week, landing 3rd overall, with over 116 thousand more copies sold while Jay-Z and Kanye West have their “Watch The Throne” album drop three spots to 9th. Beyonce’s “4″ album drops 10 spots to 19th, Bad Meets Evil lands all the way down in 33rd with Game right behind in 34th.

Maybach Music Group Self Made Album Sells 17,000 This Week

With Lady Gaga still topping the charts, the highest-ranking rappers are the Maybach Music Group boys at 15th and the Beastie Boys who dropped five spots to 22nd as their sales lost 18% from last week. Wiz Khalifa gained three spots this week despite dropping 3% in sales while RIhanna’s “Loud” album moved up eight spots backed by her new music video.

With Lady Gaga breaking a million in her first week, the highest rap album is Maybach Music’s new group album which debuted at number 5 with just over fifty-thousand copies sold. The Beastie Boys fall ten spots, Wiz Khalifa and his “Rolling Papers” album only drops one spot while Chris Brown’s album moves 9 spots down the charts.

Maybach Music Group’s “Self Made” First-Week Projected Sales Drops By 5000

Based on weekend reports, the compilation’s projections dropped by 5,000 units.

Billboard Album Sales Charts Week Ending April 24th

Chris Brown over takes freshman rapper Wiz Khalifa as the top of our charts this week as his new “F.A.M.E.” album sells 9% more than last week despite losing one spot (landing at 9th). Wiz Khalifa drops from 7th to 12th while Rihanna gains two spots, backed by 33% more units scanned than last week.

Billboard Charts For This Week

Wiz Khalifa tops the charts, as far as rappers, despite losing two spots and landing at 4th plus Chris Brown stays in the top five by selling another fifty-one thousand units (42% less than last week). Rihanna sells 13% less than last week which drops her five spots while the Diplomat himself, Jim Jones debut’s his new “Capo” album in the 20th slot (pushing just under 20,000 copies in his first week).

Wiz Khalifa’s True Album Sales Numbers

With a new album from Britney Spears topping the charts this week, new rapper Wiz Khalifa had his debut “Rolling Papers” album land a very respectable number 2 with close to two-hundred-thousand copies sold in it’s first week. Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E.” lost three spots (down to 4th) while Snoop Dogg’s new “Doggumentary” snagged the 8-spot with a debut sales week of just under fifty-thousand units scanned.
