Gang Members Taking Over East Harlem Community

Ten out of 13 housing developments in a section of East Harlem are home to gang members, police told shocked residents last week.
Cops also said at a Community Board 11 meeting they had identified more than 300 gangbangers throughout East Harlem.

New Jersey – Seton Hall basketball player Jeremy Hazell was shot Christmas night during a robbery in his hometown of Harlem, NY. He wasn’t killed, but was taken to a hospital that night and released to heal at home.

Nas is in the giving spirit for the holidays.
The renowned Queens lyricist headed to Harlem on Wednesday (December 22) to serve Christmas dinner to families affected by HIV/AIDS as part of an event run by music industry professional turned activist Maria Davis. And the Illmatic MC was more than willing to lend a hand, and his celebrity, to help the cause.
