Three produce workers in California stole over $300,000 worth of avocados. That’s right, Rahim Leblanc, Carlos Chavez, and Joseph Valenzuela were arrested by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for the grand theft of fruit. They were caught after anonymous witness stated they saw the illegal cash sales of avocados. They sold the avocados at half price to unsuspecting customers. Sgt. John Franchi, who is conducting their case, stated, “We take these kinds of thefts seriously. It’s a big product here and in California.”
