Police are searching for a suspect who brutally assaulted and robbed an elderly man in Southeast D.C. earlier this month. The incident was caught by a nearby surveillance camera.
The violent robbery occurred in the 2900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on May 17 at around 5:44 p.m.
In the surveillance video released by D.C. police, a person wearing what appears to be a red shirt walks up and begins to engage in conversation with the 63-year-old man with several other people nearby.
About 15 seconds later, the suspect throws a punch and hits the victim in the face and appears to knock the person out cold
