The highway patrol in Montana stopped a motorist after receiving a complaint of erratic driving. Once pulled over, it was discovered there were thousands of bees inside the vehicle.
One individual recently learned that it’s not a good idea to drive with bees inside your vehicle.
On May 22nd, the Montana Highway Patrol was notified of a car being driven erratically.
The caller also claimed the car appeared to be full of bees.
Troopers were able to find the vehicle in question and pulled the driver over.
Five hives and thousands of honeybees were discovered in the car.
According to the driver, they were ‘Russian Honey Bees’ and posed no threat to humans.
A state beekeeper who was contacted by the troopers told them that although transporting bees by car isn’t the wisest choice, it is not against the law and no permits are needed.
The driver was issued a citation for careless driving.
