The Toronto Raptors fired head coach Dwane Casey after the team was swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Casey coached the Raptors to five playoff appearances in seven seasons.
But the Raptor’s success during the regular season under Casey wasn’t enough for the NBA franchise.
The Raptors closed out the season with 59 wins and 23 losses, and clinched the No. 1 seed for the Eastern Conference.
But winning in the regular season wasn’t enough for team ownership.
Despite coaching the team to five consecutive postseasons, they couldn’t to the championship.
