According to Reuters, Rihanna turned down the National Football League for the Super Bowl halftime show in support of Colin Kaepernick.
Rihanna reportedly turned the opportunity down due to the league’s controversial stance over Kaepernick’s kneeling protest during the National Anthem.
The NFL and CBS, who will broadcast the Super Bowl, wanted Rihanna to do the halftime show musical performance for next year.
Kaepernick, a former NFL quarterback, began a kneeling protest against racial injustice during the National Anthem two seasons ago.
