Carrier Sprint will play a record $330 million to settle a False Claims Act lawsuit. According to broadcastingcable.com the case was originally filed by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood. The suit alleged Sprint failed to collect over $100 million in state and local sales taxes on its wireless calling plans sold in NY. The $330 million recovery is the largest by a single state in an action brought under a false claims act.
